Shine for Christ
Bugiri Baptist church loves to see the Young people shine for Christ on daily basis and to see the young people come to an understanding that they are the most loved creation of God and also get to understand that they are able to demonstrate the Love of God to others.
We only not spend money on youth or having good time by being entertained, it’s rather about building the kingdom of God! We are sure that when we invest in youth, we are investing in the kingdom of God
This commitment has been over years and this year we are celebrating the 10th Annual RAS-CAMP by God’s Grace since this ministry started. A thousands of youths are expected to attend.
Rise and Shine Youth Conference (Ras Camp)
We thank God for your continued commitment to nurturing the next generation in the ways of the Lord. Your dedication to youth ministry has been a great inspiration and a source of encouragement to the body of Christ.
At Bugiri Baptist Church, we are privileged to organize the Rise and Shine Youth Conference (Ras Camp) on an annual basis, bringing together young people to encounter God, grow in their faith, and be equipped for the future. This year, we are excited to announce the 12th Ras Camp, to be held under the theme: “Rooted in Christ, Ready for the Future” based on Colossians 2:7.
The theme reflects our desire to see the youth deeply grounded in Christ, ready to face life’s challenges with unwavering faith and godly wisdom. It is our conviction that investing in our youth today prepares the church for tomorrow.
In light of this, we kindly request you to pick up the topics or sessions that you would be able to participate in to help us to plan accordingly.
We are planning to introduce Skills sessions per day to equip our youth with practical skills to help them earn living within the community.
BIBLE STUDY BREAKOUT SESSIONS
Each session includes group discussion, prayer, and personal reflection.
Purity and Relationships: Honoring God in Love and Life
- Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 4:3–5; 2 Timothy 2:22
- Topics: Dating, purity, friendships, and boundaries.
- Goal: Promote holiness and healthy relationships rooted in God’s truth.
Biblical Decision-Making: Wisdom for Life
- Scripture: Proverbs 3:5–6; James 1:5
- Topics: Making godly choices in school, friendships, relationships, and career.
- Goal: Teach how to seek God’s will and use Scripture as a guide.
Identity in Christ: Who Am I?
- Scripture: 1 Peter 2:9–10; Galatians 2:20
- Topics: Self-worth, social media, peer pressure.
- Goal: Anchor identity in Christ rather than culture or performance.
Spiritual Disciplines: Staying Connected to the Vine
- Scripture: John 15:4–5
- Topics: Prayer, Bible reading, worship, fasting.
- Goal: Help youth develop consistent spiritual habits.

OUR RAS CAMP STRATEGIES;
REACH: We are empowered to be witnesses to all people and the light in us must shine in darkness (Acts 1:8).
RETAIN: We believe that each convert has apart to play in the kingdom of God. (Eph4:11-16).
REPRODUCE: We want the young people’s lives change into the likeness of Christ (John 13:35, 2Cor:3:16).
RAISE: We believe that all Christians can become leaders (2 Timothy 2:1-2).
RELEASE: We emission a youth ministry where young people are trained and equipped to serve in different ministries and even in the nation.
